Supply of water from BARADA source to Damascus countryside

Description

Shalak Consultant Contribution: Contribution covered the preparation of the detailed design and tender documents and conducting supervision of the project implementation.

The Project Features at a Glance:

Producing additional quantities of water from the Barad Spring system located at 50 km. northwest Damascus nearby Al-Zabadani town, by developing new water intakes that consist of 5 production wells 350 m deep. The project included the procurement of all necessary equipment including 5 submersible pumps 110 Kw, with 1250 KVA generator and all accessories and pipes needed for the collection of the pumped water.

The actual water capacity was more than 4000 m3/d.
