Ahmad is graduated from Damascus University with a B.Sc. in Geology 1980.
Working from 1984 to 1990 with Russian experts in all kind of survey, (hydro geological - geological-), analysis pumping test, preparation and calculation water balance.
Working from 1994 to 1998 with the UNDP in the project of artificial recharge for ground water in Damascus and prepare the national report.
Working from 2000 to 2001 with project establish integrated information system for water resources in Barada & Awaj Basin, the project has been executed with cooperation with ACSAD.
Working from 1995 to 2002 with department of ground water which related with establishment of ground water monitoring, operation, maintenance, and collecting, sorting, analyzing data, and preparing annual water balance.
Working from 2005 to 2017 as hydrogeologist in ACSAD in the following projects:
1- Ground water model for Al-Ghota area ( It is part from Barada & Awaj Basin)- Syria
2- Ground water model for Aleppo Basin area - Syria
3- Ground water model for Al-Yarmouk Basin - Syria
4- Ground water model for Al-Zabadani area (in the frame of decision support system D.S.S. ) - Syria
5- Combating desertification in the southwest region of KSA
6- Groundwater Model for coastal basin - Syria
7- Ground water model for Orontes Basin - Syria
8- Ground water model of Akkar region-Syria
9- Ground water model for Euphrates Basin- Syria
10- Groundwater vulnerability assessment map for the first aquifer in the United Arab Emirates
11- Ground water model for Euphrates Basin- Syria
12- Expansion of wheat cultivation using groundwater in the Nile River basin and Northern states of Sudan.
13- Ground water model for North Basin - Sudan.
